Prepare for the Grade 9 Science Olympiad with Little Edventure's Sample Paper 3 and its accompanying detailed answer key. This practice bundle covers Physics, Chemistry and Biology through 50 multiple-choice questions, including a dedicated Achievers' Section for higher-order thinking.
Level: Grade 9 / Class 9 | Format: Digital PDF Bundle | Total: 19 Pages | Questions: 50 | Maximum Marks: 60
Can you explain why a car moving at constant speed around a circular track is still accelerating? Can you calculate the number of atoms in a given mass of hydrogen gas? Do you understand how different cell structures and biological tissues function?
The Little Edventure Science Olympiad Grade 9 – Sample Paper 3 helps students practise these concepts and many more through carefully structured multiple-choice questions.
The paper combines scientific knowledge, numerical applications, conceptual understanding and higher-order reasoning across Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Practise the questions. Review the explanations. Strengthen your scientific understanding.
A structured practice examination with 50 multiple-choice questions, a 60-minute time allowance and a maximum score of 60 marks.
Section A tests core concepts in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Each question carries 1 mark, for a total of 40 marks.
Section B features higher-order thinking questions involving calculations, scientific applications, reasoning and analysis. Each question carries 2 marks.
A separate answer key containing correct options, explanations, worked numerical solutions and a chapter-wise question and marks breakdown.
Questions 1–40 | 40 Questions | 1 Mark Each | Total: 40 Marks.
Questions 41–50 | 10 Questions | 2 Marks Each | Total: 20 Marks.
Total examination time: 60 minutes. Maximum score: 60 marks. No negative marking. Every question has four options with one correct answer.
Record answers on the printable answer sheet, compare them with the answer key and calculate scores for both examination sections.

Saturated solutions, physical and chemical changes, mixtures and separation techniques such as separating funnels.
Atomicity, chemical formulae, valency, mole calculations, Avogadro's number, atomic mass and molecular quantities.
Atomic models, electronic configuration, atomic number, valency, protons, neutrons and isotopes.
Cell theory, cell organelles, the Golgi apparatus, differences between plant and animal cells, and osmosis.
Plant tissues, epidermis, guard cells, phloem fibres and the structure and function of nervous tissue.
Classification of plants and animals, gymnosperms, annelids, arthropods and characteristics of mammals.
Infectious diseases and disease-specific prevention, including vaccination.
Environmental science concepts, fossil-fuel emissions and the formation of acid rain.
Agricultural and biological resource improvement, including the selection of honeybee varieties for commercial honey production.
This practice paper provides students with a structured opportunity to assess their understanding of Grade 9 scientific concepts through both standard multiple-choice questions and more challenging Achievers' questions.
The accompanying answer key supports independent revision by explaining the correct answers and identifying the chapters associated with each question.
Students preparing for school-level Science Olympiad examinations who want structured practice across Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Students looking to strengthen scientific reasoning, numerical problem-solving and higher-order thinking through timed practice.
