PSAT Exam
PSAT (Preliminary SAT – United States)
Where used:
Primarily in the United States and international schools following the U.S. curriculum. The PSAT is taken by students in grades 10–11 as a practice test for the SAT and a qualifier for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Key focus:
Critical Reading, Writing & Language, and Math (with and without a calculator). The test evaluates analytical reasoning, grammar, vocabulary in context, and problem-solving skills.
Preparation tips:
Practice regularly with official PSAT-style questions, strengthen vocabulary and grammar skills, and review key math concepts including algebra, geometry, and data analysis. Time management and strategy-based practice are essential for success.
